Hey Everyone,
Here are some tips/guidelines for makeup, hair, and accessories for the show. If you have questions, please ask Jessie.
Please be respectful of your fellow cast members - bring deodorant, apply generously, and please don't spray cologne or Axe, perfume OR Hairspray in the dressing rooms. We have a cast member who is DEATHLY allergic to hairspray, the dressing rooms and woman’s bathroom is off limits for hairspray. If you need to spray please do so in the men’s bathroom or outside.
General tip for make up: DO NOT share, mascara or eyeliner, can lead to conjunctivitis or other eye maladies. Also, baby or makeup wipes are wonderful. A light layer of cold cream under your base can help with the removal of makeup and also help with any breakouts due to makeup use. Ben Nye Starter kits are $16.00 if interested. Check BenNye.com

COSTUMES
The costumes for our productions will be provided by Ramona Haas at A Cut Above Costumes. Each actor is required to put down a deposit at pick up. During the run Febreeze is a great way to keep your costumes smelling fresh (Fresh Rain is the weakest scent). The equipment manager will wash all the items that can be washed during the week. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING HOME Remember you are responsible for keeping track of your costumes. For the adults we will assign spots in the dressing rooms as well as assign mirrors so that you will have a space.
WIGS
You may have wigs for the show, if so, here are some tips.
Wig Caps: these are very good to use. They keep your real hair in place under the wig and allow the wig to secure to something. You can buy these at Sally’s or use an old stocking or knee high.
Ladies:
Underneath your wig and/or wig cap (if you are wigged the whole show) - two French braids or pin curls work the best to keep the wigs on your head. You will need bobby pins (LOTS OF BOBBY PINS) - big ones and regular sized ones (Wal-Mart/Target/CVS/Walgreens). You will also need to bring your own hairspray and it's a good idea to bring a few pony tail holders for your hair - just in case.
Men:
Underneath your wig you should use a wig cap, especially if your hair is very short. You will also need bobby pins and hair spray.
Facial Hair:
Unless you are a beatnik, you will have clean shaven face. (Only Santa can have facial hair.)
